FUJIFILM India Bets Big on Gujarat With Its New Ahmedabad Office

Gujarat just got a little more high-tech. FUJIFILM India has opened a new office in Ahmedabad, and it’s not just another dot on the corporate map — it’s a strategic move that ties the company closer to India’s booming semiconductor ambitions. If you’ve been tracking tech and business expansion stories on TechnoSports, this one fits right into the pattern of global players doubling down on India.

Why This Office Matters

The new Ahmedabad location will serve as the headquarters for FUJIFILM Electronic Materials’ India operations. In plain terms, that means it will support the development and supply of materials used in semiconductor packaging and fabrication — a sector that’s rapidly gaining momentum in Gujarat, a state increasingly positioning itself as an electronics and chip manufacturing hub.

This isn’t a one-off announcement either. It’s part of FUJIFILM India’s larger playbook of building capabilities closer to its customers and partners across the country, rather than running everything from a centralized location.

What FUJIFILM India Had to Say

Navneet Ahluwalia, Head of Human Resources & Administration at FUJIFILM India, framed the office as more than just a workspace:

“As FUJIFILM India continues to grow and expand its presence across the country, we wanted our new Ahmedabad office to be more than just a workplace. The office reflects our focus on creating an environment that supports collaboration, inclusivity and employee growth, while enabling our teams to work closely across businesses.”

That people-first framing is worth noting — it signals the company is thinking about culture and retention as much as square footage and supply chains.

The Bigger Picture: FUJIFILM’s India Strategy

This expansion doesn’t exist in isolation. FUJIFILM India operates across four business segments — Healthcare, Electronics, Business Innovation, and Imaging — and the Ahmedabad office adds another growth engine to that mix. The company’s broader roadmap includes continued investment in people, infrastructure, and local capabilities, all aimed at delivering more value to customers and partners across India.

With India’s semiconductor ecosystem attracting serious global attention and investment, having a dedicated materials supply hub in Gujarat positions FUJIFILM to serve fabrication and packaging players right where the action is happening — instead of managing logistics from afar.
