5 Hindi Releases This Week That Prove Every Genre Deserves Its Moment

Action, comedy, mystery, drama — this week’s lineup has zero filler. Whether you’re planning a theater run or a couch marathon, Hindi entertainment is throwing everything at you this week. From a father-son action saga to a nostalgic comedy revival and a haunting thriller, here’s your complete guide to what’s dropping in cinemas and on OTT.

Top 5 Hindi Releases This Week

1. Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, this high-octane action thriller stars Yash as a ruthless, power-hungry man whose greatest threat comes from his own son. With Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, and Huma Qureshi rounding out the cast, and a score composed by Ravi Basrur, “Toxic” is shaping up as one of the year’s most ambitious multilingual releases — hitting screens in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and English.

2. Khosla Ka Ghosla 2

Two decades of nostalgia meet fresh chaos as the beloved Khosla family returns. Directed by Prashant Bhagia and led once again by Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, and Vinay Pathak, this dark comedy sequel keeps its signature Delhi wit intact while introducing new-generation family drama and classic middle-class jugaad.

3. Bandar

Anurag Kashyap and Sakshi Mehta co-direct this gripping thriller starring Bobby Deol as a fading TV star facing a serious allegation after a messy breakup. As public opinion turns against him, the story strips away his celebrity identity, ending on a deliberately ambiguous note that lingers long after the credits roll.

4. Babita Singh Reporting

Nimisha Sajayan headlines this suspense thriller about a people-pleasing woman forced into detective mode after her childhood friend dies mysteriously. Directed by Ambiecka Pandit, the series turns personal grief into a gripping hunt for uncomfortable truths.

5. Chumbak

A vibrant Mumbai row-house neighborhood becomes the backdrop for this ensemble family comedy from creator Aatish Kapadia. With Neena Gupta, Sumeet Vyas, and Helly Shah among the cast, the show captures the beautifully nosy, chaotic charm of community living — where nothing stays private for long.
