Former Gavy NJ Member Gunji Is Getting Married — And Her Announcement Is Genuinely Touching

Some celebrity announcements feel like a press release. This one feels like a letter to old friends. Former Gavy NJ member Gunji shared the news of her upcoming wedding on Instagram, and the message behind it says as much about her journey as the milestone itself.

The Announcement

Gunji took to Instagram to reveal she’ll be tying the knot this October, sharing several photos alongside her fiancé. In her message, she reflected on spending her twenties chasing music with total focus, and now, in her thirties, finding both artistic fulfillment and a partner whose values align with her own.

Why Her Message Resonated

What stands out is how Gunji framed the announcement — not as a headline moment, but as a quiet thank-you to the fans who supported her through every phase of her career, however it looked at the time. She acknowledged feeling a little cautious about reaching everyone individually, inviting anyone she’d missed to reach out directly, and closed with a simple, grounded promise to live wisely and happily with her partner.

It’s a reminder that even years after a group’s peak, the bond between former idols and their fans doesn’t simply fade — it just changes shape, resurfacing in moments exactly like this one.
