One Night, Four Dramas: “Flex X Cop 2” Hits A New High, But It Still Wasn’t Enough To Win

Four different dramas, four different storylines — and on August 22, the ratings told a genuinely interesting story. “Flex x Cop 2” posted its best numbers yet, “Love on the Menu” broke its own Saturday ceiling, and “Spooky in Love” quietly slid lower just one episode from its finale.

Flex X Cop 2: The Numbers

Flex X Cop 2’s Record — And Why It Still Lost The Slot

SBS’s “Flex x Cop 2” scored an average nationwide rating of 7.5%, its highest of the season so far. Despite the personal best, first place in the timeslot went to MBC’s “A Bona Fide Killer,” which opened the second half of its run at 8.8%, showing the assassin-thriller still has real momentum heading into its final stretch.

Spooky In Love’s Quiet Dip

With just one episode left before its series finale, tvN’s “Spooky in Love” fell to a 5.5% rating — a reminder that even a strong performer can lose steam right before the finish line, especially when it’s up against fresh momentum from competing dramas.

Love On The Menu’s Breakout Saturday

The real standout of the night was KBS 2TV’s “Love on the Menu,” which posted its highest Saturday rating yet at 14.9% — a notable jump given the show has historically performed better on Sundays. That number made it the most-watched program of any kind airing that Saturday, cutting across every genre and network.

Why This Ratings Night Matters

Seeing four dramas move in different directions on the same night is a useful snapshot of where Korean audiences are putting their attention right now — rewarding a comeback-season assassin thriller, a steadily climbing cop procedural, and a slice-of-life romance, while a finale-bound drama loses a bit of its grip.
