The Dharampal Satyapal Group (DS Group) (https://www.dsgroup.com/), a diversified FMCG conglomerate, has launched ‘DS-Verse,’ an augmented reality (AR) experience, in observance of its 97th Founders’ Day. This digital initiative aims to present the company’s extensive history and operational milestones through an interactive, sky-based narrative.
The DS-Verse platform enables users to explore the company’s journey since its establishment in 1929. By scanning a QR code with a smartphone and pointing the device towards the sky, users can access an AR environment where virtual constellations act as gateways to various chapters of the DS Group story. Each constellation reveals information pertaining to the company’s founders, its overarching philosophy, significant business milestones, brand portfolio, and its corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability initiatives.
Accessibility and Technology
The experience operates as a browser-based WebAR solution, circumventing the need for users to download a dedicated application. This design choice ensures broad accessibility for individuals using compatible smartphones and web browsers. The platform details the company’s progression from its origins in Chandni Chowk to its current status as an FMCG entity, covering its foundational principles, strategic developments, and brand evolution. The DS-Verse integrates images, videos, and digital content to illustrate the company’s growth, its operational philosophy, and its impact on communities.

Sachin Sharma, Sr. General Manager, Corporate Marketing at DS Group, commented on the launch, stating, “Founders’ Day is an opportunity to recognize the entrepreneurial spirit of our Founders, Shri Dharampalji and Shri Satyapalji. With DS-Verse, we aim to present our story in a contemporary manner for current audiences and future generations.”
Future Development
DS Group intends for DS-Verse to serve as a permanent digital asset. Plans include the continuous integration of new content and historical narratives to expand the experience. This strategy aims to allow continued engagement with the company’s legacy beyond the initial Founders’ Day observance, ensuring that its founding philosophy remains accessible and relevant. Such digital innovation aligns with broader trends in augmented reality developments (https://technosports.co.in/) and corporate storytelling.
