Spider-Man: Brand New Day just crossed another milestone in India, even as fresh competition finally slowed its record-breaking run. The Tom Holland and Zendaya starrer added Rs. 27 crore in its third weekend, pushing its India total to the edge of Rs. 550 crore.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day: The Numbers Behind the Slowdown
The third Sunday brought in Rs. 10.5 crore, a modest 12% dip from Independence Day. But the full third weekend fell a steep 70% compared to weekend two — largely because new releases entered theatres and ate into its screen share.

Running Total So Far
| Metric | Collection |
|---|---|
| Week One | Rs. 391.50 cr (gross) |
| Week Two | Rs. 126.00 cr (gross) |
| 3rd Weekend | Rs. 27.00 cr (gross) |
| India Nett Total | Rs. 449.75 cr |
| India Gross Total | Rs. 544.50 cr |
| Gross incl. 3D | Rs. 598.75 cr |
Still an All-Time Blockbuster
Despite the drop-off, Brand New Day remains one of the rare All-Time Blockbusters (ATBBs) — a club that includes just a handful of films since Jurassic Park in 1994, such as Titanic, Avatar, and Avengers: Endgame. The film is even tracking toward the 2-crore footfall mark, a feat only Titanic and Endgame have achieved in India.
A Global Record-Breaker
Worldwide, the film has already smashed past USD 2 billion, making it the highest-grossing Spider-Man movie ever, overtaking No Way Home. Trade estimates now place its final global haul somewhere between USD 2.5–2.7 billion.
What’s Next
Weekday numbers are expected to dip further, but strong weekend holds could still push the film’s India nett close to the Rs. 500 crore mark before its run winds down.
