League Attracts Prominent Stakeholders

The Season 3 finale drew attendance from various business, gaming, and entertainment figures. Notable attendees included Sara Tendulkar (owner of Mumbai Grizzlies), Prashant Prakash (co-owner of Bengaluru Badgers and Partner at Accel), Dr. Cyrus Poonawalla (Chairman of Poonawalla Group), Sean Sohn (CEO of Krafton India), and actor-presenter Mandira Bedi.

The GEPL, powered by Real Cricket™, expanded its footprint in Season 3 to include eight full franchises. This season saw the addition of Kolkata Hawks, owned by music icon Sonu Nigam, and Gujarat Wolves, owned by esports player Tanmay Singh (Scout), alongside the six existing teams: Delhi Sharks, Bengaluru Badgers, Chennai Falcons, Mumbai Grizzlies, Pune Stallions (owned by Suniel Shetty), and Hyderabad Rhinos (owned by Amit Mehta).

Rajan Navani, Chairman of JetSynthesys, commented on the league’s progression. “Season 3 has provided significant evidence of GEPL’s objective to build a genuine sport, rather than merely a tournament,” Navani stated. “The expansion to eight franchises, our first international broadcast, and a closely contested final indicate the growing ambition behind GEPL.”

Jogesh Lulla, Senior Vice President – Sports, JetSynthesys, noted the heightened competition. “This has been our most competitive season yet, and a final this tight is the best possible proof of that,” Lulla added. “We are already looking ahead to Season 4.”

Sara Tendulkar, owner of the Mumbai Grizzlies, reflected on her involvement, stating, “What struck me most is how much dedication and hard work goes into e-cricket, just like the game I’ve grown up around.”

Season 4 Confirmed with Future Plans

Following Season 3’s reported increase in scale, viewership, and international reach, JetSynthesys has confirmed that GEPL will return for a fourth season. Plans are reportedly underway to further develop the league’s community and grassroots engagement initiatives.
