Team News and Predicted Lineups
Luis Enrique’s PSG arrive full of confidence, built around Ousmane Dembélé, Désiré Doué, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Unai Emery’s Villa, on the other hand, ride the wave of a fifth Europa League triumph for their manager, with Emiliano Buendía among their key attacking threats. Official lineups typically drop about an hour before kick-off — you can track confirmed XIs live on UEFA.com.
Prediction
PSG head in as favourites given their back-to-back continental pedigree, but Villa have shown before — in their tight 5-4 aggregate Champions League tie last season — that they don’t fold against elite opposition. Expect a cagey opener with PSG edging it narrowly, 2-1.
Head-to-Head
The two sides have met just twice in their history, with PSG edging an epic Champions League quarter-final tie 5-4 across two legs in April 2025. Villa’s only previous Super Cup appearance came way back in 1982, when they beat Barcelona.
