Fintech firm PayU and business management software provider Marg ERP have announced a strategic partnership to integrate PayU’s payment infrastructure into Marg Pay, Marg ERP’s integrated payments solution. The collaboration aims to streamline digital payment collections and reconciliation for pharma distributors and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across India.

The initiative directly embeds PayU’s payment system within Marg ERP’s financial workflows, establishing a unified environment for ordering, payments, and reconciliation. This integration is designed to address prevalent issues such as manual reconciliation, which frequently results in errors, cash pilferage, working capital risks, and revenue losses for businesses, particularly within the high-frequency pharma distribution sector.

PayU : Enhanced Payment Mechanisms and Operational Efficiency

Under the new system, MSME retailers will be able to generate dynamic QR codes for each invoice, facilitating instant digital payments that are automatically reconciled within Marg ERP. Distributors, conversely, will utilize payment links for individual invoices, enabling bill-by-bill reconciliation and direct posting to the ERP system. This functionality is intended to expedite collections, enable same-day settlements, and improve overall operational efficiency.

Vineet Sethi, Chief Growth and Marketing Officer at PayU, stated that the partnership aims to “simplify financial administration and bring more predictability to the cash flow of Indian pharma distributors and retailers.” He added that this collaboration deepens Marg ERP’s role in digitizing the pharmaceutical sector while expanding PayU’s position as an embedded finance aggregator(https://www.payu.in/).

Thakur Anup Singh, CMD of Marg ERP Ltd., emphasized that Marg Pay, strengthened by PayU, will assist businesses in “accepting payments securely.” He further noted that the solution “also facilitates the reconciliation for retailers and distributors accounts automatically,” enabling businesses to operate with greater efficiency.

The partnership is projected to extend its integration to Marg’s eRetail application, which supports B2B ordering, payments, and reconciliation, indicating a broader focus on enhancing digital capabilities across various business-to-business transactions.
