Some hosting gigs come with an expiry date. Kichcha Sudeep’s doesn’t. The makers of Bigg Boss Kannada have dropped the first promo for Season 13, confirming what fans already suspected — Sudeep is back in the hot seat, marking his 13th consecutive season as host.
That’s not a small stat. While several Bigg Boss editions across languages have swapped hosts over the years, the Kannada version has stuck with one man since day one — making Sudeep’s run one of the longest in the franchise’s regional history.
Bigg Boss Kannada Season 13- Overview
| Detail | Status |
|---|---|
| Host | Kichcha Sudeep (13th consecutive season) |
| Promo | First teaser released |
| Contestant lineup | Not yet announced |
| Premiere date | Yet to be confirmed |
| Signature segment | “Kichcha’s Panchayat” (weekend episodes) |
Over the years, Sudeep has become far more than a face reading out eviction results. His weekend episodes, where he reviews the week’s drama and calls out contestants directly, have turned into appointment viewing in their own right — fans genuinely tune in just for his takedowns and pep talks.
The new promo keeps its cards close, revealing nothing about the theme, format, or contestant list just yet. That’s classic Bigg Boss strategy: build the anticipation first, drop the details later. With Sudeep back at the helm, though, the show is expected to keep its spot as one of the most-watched television programs in Karnataka.
More announcements — including the premiere date and contestant reveals — are expected in the coming weeks.
