CORTIS’ Lollapalooza Set Shortened Due to Intense Flooding

In disappointing news for fans, rising K-pop group CORTIS had their performance at Lollapalooza 2026 abruptly shortened due to severe weather conditions. The group was only able to perform a few songs before organizers were forced to stop the set for safety reasons.

The incident occurred on July 6, 2026, at Grant Park in Chicago. Heavy rainfall caused significant flooding on stage and in parts of the audience area, creating dangerous conditions. According to reports, water levels rose rapidly, making it impossible for the group to continue their scheduled high-energy set.

CORTIS took to their official social media shortly after the cancellation to express their regret. The members thanked fans who braved the weather to attend and promised to make it up to them with future performances. Their agency also released a statement prioritizing the safety of both the artists and the audience.

According to the Lollapalooza Wikipedia page, the festival has faced weather-related disruptions in the past, but this year’s flooding appears to be one of the more serious cases in recent editions.

CORTIS’ Lollapalooza: Incident Summary

Many fans who traveled from different states and countries to see CORTIS expressed disappointment, though the majority showed understanding given the dangerous weather. The group is currently one of the fastest-rising acts in K-pop, and this appearance was expected to be a major milestone in their international career.

We hope CORTIS gets another chance to deliver a full set at a major festival soon.
