Spider-Man: Brand New Day Sells 5.80 Lakh Tickets — Second-Biggest Hollywood Opener Ever in India

Tom Holland just swung his way into the record books — again. Spider-Man: Brand New Day has locked in the second-biggest advance opening-day sales for any Hollywood film in India, trailing only the untouchable Avengers: Endgame.

The superhero flick sold over 5.80 lakh tickets across the top two national chains, PVR Inox and Cinepolis, for its opening day alone — a number that puts it firmly ahead of its own franchise predecessor.

For context, the previous Spider-Man film, No Way Home, had sold around 5.50 lakh tickets in the National Chains before going on to collect over Rs. 265 crore at the Indian box office. Brand New Day has already surpassed that number before release, signaling serious momentum.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day- Overview

Based on current trends, the film looks set for a bumper Thursday opening, with the Rs. 50 crore mark on day one appearing almost locked in. If it performs as expected, industry trackers suggest it could target a massive Rs. 400 crore final tally in its full Indian theatrical run.

This kind of pre-release frenzy reflects just how deeply embedded the Spider-Man character has become in global pop culture, spanning multiple actors and generations of fans.
