Adobe stands to be the pioneer of video editing software with its Adobe Premiere Pro. They also entered the mobile app market, transforming all of its software into apps.
Adobe video editing software has been on Android for some time now along with Adobe Premiere Elements. So what’s the point of introducing Adobe Premiere Rush?
This editor is a very handy one if you are looking to edit videos on the go without missing the essential features that you get on your full-fledged Premier Pro software.
You get unlimited exports with Premiere Rush on all of your devices (phone, tablet, and desktop), and 100GB of cloud storage for just US$9.99/mo (optional in-app purchase) or with select Adobe Creative Cloud membership plans
With a size of 331MB, this new app is arguably one of the best editing apps now available at the Play Store. So, to get an idea of how the app feels like, I installed it on my smartphone, here is my genuine review of the new Adobe Premiere Rush.
The Interface
After being used to editing on the desktop version of Premiere Pro, this was a different experience all totally. I used the Premiere Pro Clip, which I feel was ok for a mobile point of view.
The intuitive and smooth interface of Premiere Rush made me feel as if I was working on an undercut mobile version of the actual PC software.
I tested out on the Realme 3 Pro to check out the experience on a mid-range smartphone. The app works like a charm on Snapdragon-powered smartphones.
The Adobe Rush retains some essential video editing features that you get on the PC software version.
Shoot & Edit easily
You can shoot any videos to get to directly added to your project that you are currently working on. Or you can simply import any photo or video or add audio track as well as add device folders to the media desk. You can also convert your video into GIF with Video to GIF tool.
The app allows you to add a lot of unique Titles & Transitions. You can even change the colour, size, font, and more to make them uniquely you. Browse over 100 more free motion graphics templates on Adobe Stock to enhance your project.
Adding motion graphics from any smartphone video editor has just become more easier. Among other options the inclusion of ‘Subscribe’ and social media specific lower thirds along with animated titles will help you a lot in creating great videos.
You are also allowed to add quick voiceovers using your smartphone’s microphone which is really handy while making explanatory videos.
Controls
The controls provided by this app is just awesome, the Multitrack timeline allows you to edit videos up to four video and three audio tracks for tons of creative flexibility.
The intuitive tools provided by Adobe Premiere Rush lets you trim clips, adjust audio, enhance colour, and add video effects, titles, transitions, voiceovers, and more.
You can easily brighten your image or video, increase the brightness or contrast, sharpness, saturation and lot more. Even the audio can be adjusted with some great pre-built audio options.
Easily resize your videos from landscape to portrait or to square for different mediums. You can easily add a thumbnail, schedule your post, and publish to multiple places like Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube right through the app.
Video Quality
After completing the video, the rendering process begins which completely depend on the length of the video and the processor of your smartphone.
You can export 4K videos up to 60 frames per second, but overall as a mobile edited video, the video output is quite decent, a better option if you are looking to edit videos on the go a lot.
If you own the free version of the app, you are just limited to export videos only up to 3 times. You need to pay $9.99 monthly for unlimited exports and avail the 100GB of CC storage.
With the help of the Adobe Cloud, your projects get automatically synced, no matter where you are or what device you’re using — smartphone, tablet, or desktop.
Now the question stands if you should use this app or not? Well, if you are an ardent professional video editor, then the app might be a good option. Also if $9.99 monthly is nominal for you, then this app is worth investing for.
If you need a quick editing app, then the Adobe Premiere Rush won’t disappoint you at all. Do use it from here and share your experience in the comments down below… 🙂
