Ikroop Official Teaser: OTT Release Date, Cast, Plot about Mithila Palkar in Zee5’s Dark Thriller

Get all the thrilling details about the upcoming ZEE5 Original film Ikroop, a dark psychological thriller starring Mithila Palkar and Gauahar Khan.

Why ZEE5’s Ikroop Is the Dark Psychological Thriller to Watch

Poetry is usually a medium of beauty, but what happens when it becomes the window into a fractured, dangerous psyche? ZEE5 has officially dropped the chilling teaser for this film, an upcoming original film that features internet sweetheart Mithila Palkar stepping away from her slice-of-life comfort zone into a dark, intense world of shadows and secrecy.

Unraveling the Split Identity

The teaser opens with a soft, hauntingly serene voiceover from Mithila Palkar’s character: “I write poetry. I love writing poetry.” However, the visual narrative quickly contradicts this calm demeanor. As the ambient music swells, we are thrust into a jarring montage of frantic police raids, midnight chases through dark underpasses, and intense domestic confrontations.

Produced by powerhouse banners including Jio Studios and Ali Abbas Zafar’s AAZ Films, and directed by Akram Hassan, the psychological thriller explores the heavy theme of fragmented identity. “I am Ikroop,” the protagonist states while staring intensely into a broken mirror, before adding a chilling caveat: “But I have many names.” With a stellar ensemble cast featuring Gauahar Khan, the teaser builds incredible suspense around the mysterious double life of a seemingly innocent writer. The film promises a gripping, edge-of-your-seat exploration of deep trauma, hidden motives, and the dark secrets people harbor behind a gentle smile.
