“Space Rice Cake” Teaser: 4 Idols, One Tiny Shop, and Total Chaos

Punishment has never looked this delicious. tvN’s new variety show “Space Rice Cake” just dropped its teaser, and it’s already got fans buzzing over one simple premise: four stars, a rice cake shop, and zero mercy.

The show is a spin-off born straight out of a punishment game from “Earth Arcade 2.” After losing an escape-room mission set by Torong, Lee Eun Ji, Mimi, Lee Young Ji, and An Yu Jin are sentenced to run a real rice cake shop together. Expect grueling shifts, hilarious labor-versus-management clashes, and even a special trip to Seoul thrown into the mix.

Why This Show Already Feels Like a Hit

What makes the teaser so fun is how seriously the cast takes an absurd punishment. Lee Young Ji, stepping up as head chef, dramatically promises to satisfy every sense imaginable with the shop’s rice cakes — a line that’s already gone semi-viral for its sheer over-the-top energy. It’s the kind of tongue-in-cheek confidence that variety show fans live for.

Add in the idea of labor-management “conflicts” between the four friends, and you’ve got a recipe for genuinely funny chemistry, not just forced content. The Seoul trip segment also hints the show won’t stay confined to the shop, giving it room to breathe beyond a single-location gimmick.
