Dhamaal 4 Review: The Treasure Hunt That Ran Out of Gold

Seven years is a long wait for a sequel. Turns out, it was also long enough for the magic to fade. Dhamaal 4, the much-hyped reunion of Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, and Jaaved Jaaferi, has finally hit theatres — and according to Pinkvilla’s review, the laughs just aren’t landing like they used to.

What’s About Dhamaal 4?

Nostalgia Isn’t Enough Anymore

The Dhamaal franchise built its name on chaotic treasure-hunt comedy since 2007, and this fourth instalment follows four friends chasing ₹50 crore hidden under a mysterious clue. On paper, it’s classic Dhamaal. In execution, though, the review points to tired writing and jokes that overstay their welcome — the kind of humor that felt fresh in 2007 but feels dated in 2026.

The film’s saving grace, per the review, is its supporting cast. Jaaferi and Mishra reportedly steal scenes purely through comic timing, proving once again that great performers can elevate even shaky material — just not enough to rescue the whole film.

Should You Watch It?

If you’re a die-hard franchise fan chasing nostalgia, Dhamaal 4 might still deliver a few laughs. But if you’re expecting the sharp, chaotic energy of the earlier films, this one may leave you checking your watch more than laughing out loud.
