Samsung’s Next Foldables Are Up for Pre-Reservation — Have You Locked Yours In?

Ahead of its biggest foldable reveal yet, Samsung has quietly opened pre-reservations in India for the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Flip 8, Watch Ultra 2, and Watch 9 series. No word yet on pricing or specs from Samsung itself, but the perks for jumping the queue are already live.

What You Get for ₹999

Here’s the part worth understanding clearly: paying ₹999 doesn’t book you a specific phone. Samsung’s own reservation page only refers to the “next Galaxy device” and doesn’t name a model, so you’re essentially reserving a slot and a discount voucher, not a confirmed unit.

How the Voucher Actually Works

Once you pre-reserve through Samsung’s official India store, your ₹999 gets adjusted against the final purchase price when you actually buy the device. If you don’t redeem the voucher within the reservation window, Samsung automatically refunds the ₹999 — so there’s genuinely no financial risk in reserving early. One thing to note: this benefit can only be claimed once per mobile number or email ID, so there’s no stacking multiple passes for extra savings.

Buying direct from Samsung also unlocks a few extras: exclusive launch colours, Samsung Rewards points, and Care+ protection plans — perks you won’t get buying through a third-party retailer.

What’s Actually Launching

Samsung has confirmed its Galaxy Unpacked event for July 22, 2026, in London, streaming at 6:30 PM IST. While Samsung hasn’t officially named the products, industry reports strongly point to the Galaxy Z Fold 8, a new Z Fold 8 Ultra, the Z Flip 8, and refreshed Watch Ultra 2 and Watch 9 models rounding out the lineup — Samsung’s first time introducing an Ultra-tier foldable alongside its standard models.

The Takeaway

At ₹999, refundable, with a guaranteed ₹2,799 voucher attached, pre-reserving is close to a no-downside move if you’re already planning to buy. Just don’t expect Samsung to confirm exactly what you’re getting until July 22.
