Former T-ara Member Ryu Hwayoung Gives Fans a Dreamy First Look at Her Wedding Photos

Love is in full bloom for Ryu Hwayoung. The former T-ara member and actress just shared a stunning set of wedding pictorial photos on Instagram, offering fans an intimate glimpse into her upcoming nuptials ahead of her September wedding.

Ryu Hwayoung: A heartfelt caption to match the photos

Alongside the pictorial, Ryu Hwayoung shared a poetic message reflecting on her relationship, writing that love wasn’t found in grand promises but in the special moments she and her partner spent laughing together, and that the seasons they’ve shared taught her what truly matters. The caption captures both her trust in her fiancé and her excitement heading into married life.

What the photos show

The pictorial features the couple in a range of intimate, romantic poses. In one shot, Ryu Hwayoung wears a pure white dress while cupping her fiancé’s face as they kiss; in another, she holds his hand while looking directly at the camera; and in a particularly tender frame, she smiles brightly as he kisses her cheek. The overall set leans soft and emotional, capturing genuine warmth rather than overly staged glamour.

The wedding details

Ryu Hwayoung is set to tie the knot on September 12 at a venue in Seoul. Her fiancé is reportedly a businessman three years her senior, and while details about him remain relatively private, fans have responded warmly to the news since her engagement was first announced.

From T-ara to acting career

Ryu Hwayoung first debuted as a member of girl group T-ara in 2010 before departing in 2012 to pursue acting. Since then, she’s built a steady career across Korean television and film, appearing in dramas like Ex-Girlfriends’ Club, My Father Is Strange, and MAD DOG, along with the film Exist Within.

Wedding pictorials have become a cherished tradition in Korean celebrity culture, often serving as a public yet deeply personal way for stars to share their love story before the ceremony itself, a custom closely tied to the broader visual storytelling traditions found in Korean wave media and celebrity culture.
