OM First Strike: Dhanush and Mammootty’s Epic Action Film

OM First Strike: When a cinematic powerhouse announcement arrives out of nowhere, it shakes the very foundation of Indian cinema. Wunderbar Films and R Take Studios have officially dropped the breathtaking OM First Strike teaser, unveiling the highly anticipated title for Dhanush’s 55th film (#D55). Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy—fresh off the staggering blockbuster success of Amaran—this glimpse promises a massive, brutal action thriller titled OM Chapter 1: Udhiram The Blood Wood.

Scheduled for a massive festive release in October 2026, the project brings together an unparalleled dream cast that has sent shockwaves through the industry.

A Masterclass Collaboration Loading for the Big Screen

The newly unveiled first look firmly establishes a dark, gritty, and fiercely intense cinematic universe. For years, audiences have been eager to see Dhanush return to a grounded, raw, and full-fledged mass commercial avatar. The teaser delivers exactly that, dropping hints of a rural saviour fighting a bloody war against a stark, atmospheric backdrop.

The real dynamite, however, lies in the film’s multi-starrer lineup. Sharing the screen with Dhanush is none other than Malayalam cinema’s megastar Mammootty, setting the stage for a spectacular acting face-off. Adding immense emotional and performance depth to the narrative are powerhouse actresses Sai Pallavi and Sreeleela. Complemented by a pulsating, high-energy background score by rising music sensation Sai Abhyankkar, the brief promo signals a theater-shattering experience.
