Criminal Minds: Evolution Episode 7 — Overview

What’s the Season About?

Set approximately one year after the BAU had an encounter with notorious serial killer Elias Voit, aka Sicarius, Season 4 will continue to involve Voit but focus more on new threats that evolved based on his past behaviour. After the initial two-episode drop on the premiere date, the rest of the episodes air weekly on Thursdays until the season concludes on July 30.

This time around there’s more serial killer action and shocking criminal cases to solve, but it’s the personal drama and grief affecting the BAU — and in particular JJ — that is shaping up to be the most compelling storyline of the season. Tom’s Guide

What to Expect in “The Furies”

Episode 7, titled “The Furies,” is scheduled to release on Thursday, July 2, 2026, exclusively on Paramount+. The upcoming episode arrives as the BAU continues investigating a series of complex and interconnected cases while dealing with personal challenges that threaten to affect their work.

A title like “The Furies” — drawing from Greek mythology’s avenging spirits — suggests that someone on the team, or perhaps a new UnSub, is operating from a place of pure, consuming vengeance. Combined with Voit’s shadow still looming over everything, this episode has the makings of one of the season’s most tense hours yet.

The Full Season 4 Episode Schedule

The season premiered with 2 episodes on May 28, 2026, with remaining episodes airing weekly every Thursday at 3:00 AM ET on Paramount+. Here’s the remaining schedule at a glance:

Why Season 4 Matters for the Franchise?

The series was renewed for a fourth season by Paramount+ on March 5, 2025, and on March 24, 2026, a fifth season renewal was announced alongside the Season 4 release date — a rare double vote of confidence that speaks to the show’s enduring popularity. Fandom

The BAU is one of TV’s most beloved ensembles, and Season 4 is delivering the grittier, more serialised storytelling that Evolution promised when it first launched as a revival.
