Real Madrid Send Official Proposal to Bernardo Silva: Jose Mourinho’s Masterplan Takes Shape

The transfer saga of the summer just got its most explosive twist yet. Real Madrid have sent an official proposal to Bernardo Silva, and with José Mourinho pulling the strings at the Santiago Bernabéu, the race for the Portuguese maestro has suddenly become Madrid’s to lose.

Mourinho’s Personal Mission

This deal has the fingerprints of one man all over it. Mourinho made a direct request for Real Madrid to sign Bernardo Silva for the upcoming season. Due to his imminent arrival as manager, and initial direct messages indicating the player’s involvement was planned, Bernardo Silva has decided to halt all other proposals.

That’s a seismic development. Barcelona and Atlético Madrid had been the frontrunners for weeks — and in one move, Madrid have gatecrashed the party entirely.

Agent Jorge Mendes originally offered both Mourinho and Silva to Madrid as a package deal two months ago — a proposal initially shelved before the club’s board decisively committed to the manager in May. The dominos have now fallen perfectly.

Barcelona Left in the Cold

Until recently, the battle for Silva’s services appeared to be a two-horse race between the Spanish rivals. However, the possibility of Real Madrid entering the race — driven by Mourinho — prompted Silva and his agent to pause negotiations with both Barcelona and Atlético Madrid.

Barcelona are now left in an uncomfortable holding pattern, forced to wait out the World Cup while knowing Madrid have dismantled their initial advantage.

As Mendes told transfer expert Fabrizio Romano: “Bernardo will decide after the World Cup.”

A free transfer. A world-class midfielder. A manager who has chased this signing for a decade. The pieces are all there for Madrid — now it’s Bernardo’s call.
