The Announcement That Melted the Internet

Kaley Cuoco took to Instagram to share the news via a carousel of images featuring fiancé Tom Pelphrey and their firstborn daughter. The first image in the album featured the couple standing alongside their 3-year-old daughter Matilda in front of a rainbow sprinkle-covered cake reading “It’s a…” with a slice cut to reveal a bright pink interior. Alongside mirror selfies showcasing her growing baby bump and videos of Pelphrey reacting emotionally to a 3D sonogram, Cuoco also included a hilarious ultrasound photo.

Tom’s response was just as warm and genuine. Pelphrey shared the same sonogram on his own page, joking that the baby gave quite the dramatic response when prodded for the photo — calling it definitely his child. He also poured out his feelings about Kaley, expressing deep gratitude, joy, and admiration for her through the journey of ups and downs.

Their Love Story So Far

The couple first met at a premiere event in 2022. Just five months later, Cuoco announced they were expecting their first child together, and she gave birth to their daughter Matilda in March 2023. After getting engaged in 2024, both openly admitted they were in no rush to walk down the aisle, preferring to focus on expanding their family first.

It’s a love story that has unfolded beautifully in the public eye — raw, real, and clearly built on a foundation that goes far beyond the spotlight. As Wikipedia’s entry on Kaley Cuoco notes, she has navigated very public relationships over the years, and her journey with Pelphrey feels genuinely different — grounded, joyful, and deeply personal.
