Peddi Review: Ram Charan’s Most Career-Defining Performance Has Twitter Going Absolutely Berserk!

Ram Charan is back — and this time, he’s not just playing a hero. He’s playing Peddi Pehelwan, a raw, gritty village athlete, and the internet is already calling it the performance of his career. Here’s everything you need to know before you book your tickets.

What is Peddi About?

Set against the backdrop of rural Andhra Pradesh, Peddi is an intense sports drama that follows its protagonist — Ram Charan plays Peddi Pehelwan, an elite, spirited athlete with remarkable skills across wrestling, cricket, and traditional village sports. He uses his prowess to take on a powerful rival, fighting for village pride and standing up for the oppressed in his community.

It’s the kind of story that hits you right in the chest — rooted, real, and emotionally charged.

What Is Twitter Saying?

The reaction has been overwhelmingly positive. As soon as audiences watched the film on 70mm, they flooded Twitter (now X) with rave reviews.

One fan called out Ram Charan’s jaw-dropping work, noting what an extraordinary performance he delivered and how completely he nailed the role. Another review praised the bold creative choices, highlighting that every filmmaking department gave its best, especially the visuals paired with A.R. Rahman’s background score. A third went as far as calling it a career-best film for Ram Charan, specifically praising the interval block and how brilliantly each character was designed to connect with the audience — wrapping up with a single word: blockbuster.

The consensus? Ram Charan has delivered what fans have been waiting for — a full-blown, emotionally gripping mass performance with cinematic depth.
