The world of Tamil cinema is buzzing with one name right now — Jason Sanjay, the 25-year-old son of superstar Thalapathy Vijay, who is set to make his directorial debut with the upcoming action-adventure comedy Sigma. And if lead actor Sundeep Kishan is to be believed, the apple hasn’t fallen far from the tree.

What Sundeep Kishan Said About Working With Jason Sanjay

In a recent chat with Variety India, Sundeep Kishan opened up about his experience on the sets of Sigma, and honestly, it’s the kind of behind-the-scenes story that warms your heart.

He described Jason as “extremely hardworking,” noting that the young filmmaker and his team put in serious time during both pre-production and editing. What really stood out to Sundeep? Jason’s patience — rare for someone his age.

“For a 25-year-old to be that patient, calm, and clear about what he wanted while directing was amazing,” Sundeep said. He also added that Jason genuinely resembles his legendary father, and is “one of the most grounded and humble people you’ll ever meet.”

That’s high praise from a seasoned actor. And it tells us a lot about how Jason has prepared for this big moment.
