BTS ARIRANG Sets All-Time K-Pop Record: 9 Epic Weeks in Billboard 200 Top 10!

Hey ARMY! Just when you thought the BTS reunion couldn’t get any bigger, the numbers are officially in—and they are legendary. As of May 25, 2026, the group has officially rewritten the history of K-pop on the global stage. Their masterpiece album, “ARIRANG,” has become the first album by a Korean artist to spend nine consecutive weeks in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200!

This isn’t just a win; it’s a total industry takeover. While most albums see a sharp decline after a few weeks, “ARIRANG” is proving that BTS’s “Chapter 2” is even more powerful than their first.

The Historic Billboard 200 Run: “ARIRANG” Stats

Staying in the top tier of the world’s most competitive album chart requires immense streaming power and physical sales longevity. Here is the quick breakdown of their 9th-week performance:

How BTS Conquered the Charts: The 9-Week Journey?

Step 1: The Massive “Military Return” Hype
The journey started in March 2026. After years of anticipation following their military service, the group’s reunion album debuted at No. 1 with staggering numbers. This initial momentum provided the “escape velocity” needed for long-term chart residency.

Step 2: The “SWIM” Viral Syndrome
You can’t have a record-breaking album without a hit single. “SWIM” has become a permanent fixture on social media and radio, driving consistent “SEA” (Streaming Equivalent Albums) units every single week. It is currently one of the most-streamed tracks of 2026.

Step 3: Synergy with the World Tour
Timing is everything. As the group travels through North America for the BTS ARIRANG World Tour, local fans are purchasing and streaming the album in waves. Every concert city sees a massive localized spike in sales, keeping the album afloat in the Top 10.

Step 4: Unmatched Physical Collectibility
By releasing high-quality physical editions and vinyls throughout the 9-week period, BTS ensured that collectors kept buying. This strategy turned the album into more than just music—it became a historic souvenir of their grand reunion.
