Developer Owlcat Games has disclosed today that Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous will be released this September on PC. This new role-playing game is the sequel of Pathfinder: Kingmaker. It will be launched worldwide on 6th September on PC via GOG and Steam. Owlcat will talk more regarding the plans for a console release.
From the second beta of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, we can say that the game is heading on the right way to be one of the best RPGs of the year. The game says it will be a great role-playing game featuring a premium Pathfinder experience.
“Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is setting out to be the role-playing game to get this year for those who love classics like the Baldur’s Gate games, coming with all the features one would expect to see in a cRPG while introducing mechanics that make the experience both more accessible and deeper. After around 15 hours in the beta, I feel like I have only skimmed the surface of an experience that looks epic in every sense of the word.”
“Embark on a journey to a realm overrun by demons in a new epic RPG from the creators of the critically acclaimed Pathfinder: Kingmaker. Explore the nature of good and evil, learn the true cost of power, and rise as a Mythic Hero capable of deeds beyond mortal expectations.”
“Your path will take you to the Worldwound, where the opening of a rift to the Abyss has unleashed all-consuming terror across the land. For over a century, the neighboring nations have tried to withstand the threat coming from the portal and drive the enemy back, but to little avail. Now you have the chance to put an end to this conflict, but the path to salvation is far from clear-cut. Will you become a shining angel backed by worthy paladins? Or a powerful necromancer with hordes of immortal undead in your thrall? Or something else? Lead your army and challenge the mighty demon lords. Your crusade will set in motion a chain of events that will change the world – and you – forever.”
