Hey CARATs! If you’ve been following the chaotic world of Going SEVENTEEN, you know that Lee Chan (Dino) isn’t just a world-class dancer—he’s also a comedic genius. His most iconic creation, Pi Cheolin, has officially moved past being a simple variety show bit and into a full-blown cultural phenomenon. With the release of his “Gilboard Dream” content, the lore of the grumpy, old-school CEO has reached new heights. Let’s dive into the legend of the man who is currently out-charting the idols!

Breaking Down the Pi Cheolin Lore: Step-by-Step

Step 1: The Origin in “Going SEVENTEEN”
Pi Cheolin first appeared during the “TTT” and “Don’t Lie” series as a middle-aged character with a distinct growl and a sharp suit. Dino used the character to parody old-school Korean bosses, but the members (and fans) loved it so much that he became a recurring guest.

Step 2: The “Gilboard” Wordplay
The term “Gilboard” is a clever pun on the Billboard charts. In the lore, Pi Cheolin is the only artist capable of topping these fictional charts. It represents a “street-level” (Gil means street in Korean) success that challenges the polished world of mainstream K-pop.

Step 3: “Gilboard Dream” Musical Debut
What started as a joke turned into actual music. Pi Cheolin’s “Gilboard Dream” showcases Dino’s incredible rap versatility and stage presence, blending comedic lyrics with a flow that rivals any professional rapper. It proves that Dino’s talent is so vast it needs an alter ego just to handle the overflow!

Step 4: The 2026 Cultural Impact
By May 2026, Pi Cheolin has become more than a meme. He has his own merch, “interviews” on variety shows, and even a “rivalry” with the actual Dino. This level of meta-storytelling is what makes SEVENTEEN the kings of content in the 5th generation.
