Netflix UK Is Saying Goodbye to Some Absolute Classics in June 2026 — Here’s What to Watch Before It’s Too Late

If you’re a Netflix subscriber in the UK, June 2026 is coming for your watchlist hard. From Denis Villeneuve’s cinematic masterpiece to beloved rom-coms, laugh-out-loud comedies, and a horror gem — the departures this month are genuinely painful. Here’s your complete guide to what’s leaving and what deserves your attention before it vanishes.

UK Netflix June 2026 — Key Departures

The Must-Watch Titles Before They Go

🎬 Blade Runner 2049 (2017) — Leaving June 1

Denis Villeneuve’s visually stunning sequel to Ridley Scott’s 1982 original is nothing short of cinematic poetry. Ryan Gosling plays a blade runner who unearths a long-buried secret that could reshape what remains of society. With Roger Deakins’ Oscar-winning cinematography and a haunting Hans Zimmer score, this is one of the greatest sci-fi films of the 21st century. Watch it on the biggest screen you have.

🎬 Love Actually (2003) — Leaving June 1

Yes, it’s not Christmas — but that’s never stopped anyone from watching Richard Curtis’s warm, messy, deeply human anthology of interconnected love stories set in London. It’s charming, funny, occasionally infuriating, and completely irresistible. Hugh Grant dancing through 10 Downing Street alone is worth the runtime.

🎬 Love Lies Bleeding (2024) — Leaving June 1

One of the most gripping and visually bold films of 2024. Kristen Stewart delivers a career-best performance in this intense, sun-scorched neo-noir about a gym manager who falls for a bodybuilder passing through town — and gets pulled deep into a dangerous spiral of crime and obsession. Dark, dazzling, and completely unforgettable.

🎬 Top Gun (1986) — Leaving June 2

Before Maverick broke box office records worldwide, there was the original. Tom Cruise’s breakthrough role as hotshot naval aviator Pete “Maverick” Mitchell is pure, uncut 80s energy — leather jackets, volleyball on the beach, and jet fighters screaming across the sky. If you’ve only seen the sequel, this is essential viewing before it goes.

🎬 The Holiday (2006) — Leaving June 2

The ultimate comfort watch. Two women — one in LA, one in Surrey — swap homes over Christmas to escape their love lives, and predictably, hilariously, fall right back into them. Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jude Law, and Jack Black make this one of the most rewatchable rom-coms ever made. It’s leaving June 2nd — consider this your last-chance notice.

📺 Kim’s Convenience (Seasons 1–5) — Leaving June 3

The warm, funny, deeply loveable Canadian sitcom about a Korean-Canadian family running a convenience store in Toronto has built one of the most devoted fanbases on the platform — and it’s leaving globally on June 3rd. All five seasons vanish at once. If you’ve never started it, clear your weekend. If you’ve already seen it, rewatch it. It’s that good. 📺 Brockmire (Seasons 1–4) — Leaving June 3

Hank Azaria’s darkly funny IFC comedy about a disgraced baseball announcer spectacularly imploding and slowly rebuilding his life is sharp, profane, and absolutely worth your time. All four seasons disappear the same day as Kim’s Convenience — June 3rd is going to be a rough morning for binge-watchers.

🎬 Catch Me If You Can (2002) — Leaving June 4

Steven Spielberg directing Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks — need we say more? Based on the remarkable true story of con artist Frank Abagnale Jr., this slick, stylish cat-and-mouse thriller is endlessly entertaining from first frame to last. A crowd-pleasing classic that deserves one more watch before it goes.

🎬 Ghost (1990) — Leaving June 5

Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore, Whoopi Goldberg, and one of cinema’s most iconic scenes involving pottery. Ghost remains a timeless romantic thriller about love, loss, and what we leave behind — and it earned Whoopi Goldberg a well-deserved Oscar. If you haven’t seen it in years, you’ll be surprised how much it still hits.

📺 Big Boys (Seasons 1–2) — Leaving June 9

One of British comedy’s most quietly celebrated recent gems. Big Boys follows a straight-laced teenager navigating university life and an unexpected friendship with his openly gay flatmate. It’s funny, honest, awkward in the best way, and genuinely touching. Both seasons leave on June 9th.

🎬 Anchorman 1 & 2 — Leaving June 10

Will Ferrell’s Ron Burgundy is one of comedy’s great characters — pompous, deluded, and completely hilarious. Both Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004) and Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues (2013) are going on June 10th. A back-to-back double feature is the only appropriate send-off.

🎬 Barbarian (2022) — Leaving June 14

If you haven’t seen Barbarian yet, stop reading this and go watch it right now — ideally knowing as little as possible going in. It’s one of the most genuinely surprising, clever, and deeply unsettling horror films in recent memory. It subverts your expectations at every turn and absolutely earns its cult status. It leaves June 14th. Don’t miss it.
