May 2026 K-Drama Netflix Lineup Is Small But Mighty — And The WONDERfools Could Break Records

Let’s be real — May 2026 isn’t flooded with new K-dramas on Netflix, but what it lacks in quantity, it more than makes up for in quality. One of the most anticipated Korean dramas of the entire year is finally landing this month, and two ongoing fan favourites are heading toward their finales. Here’s everything you need to know.

All K-Dramas on Netflix in May 2026

1. The WONDERfools — The K-Drama Everyone Has Been Waiting For

Arguably one of the most highly anticipated K-dramas of 2026, Netflix appears to be clearing the schedule for The WONDERfools, starring two of the most popular Korean actors right now — Park Eun Bin and Cha Eun Woo — with expectations of a strong performance and a top spot on the non-English global charts.

The premise is genuinely exciting. Set in a world where superpowered beings exist, those with flawed powers are known as “defective superhumans” — individuals who may possess superhuman abilities but cannot fully control them or use them at will. whats-on-netflix Think less Marvel polish, more raw human vulnerability wrapped in a superhero concept — and that’s exactly what makes it feel fresh.

This is a Netflix Original K-drama with global ambitions, and given the star power involved, it’s hard to imagine it not being a massive hit. Mark your calendar for May 15, 2026.

2. Sold Out on You — Romance With a Side of Sleepless Nights

Sold Out on You stars Ahn Hyo Seop and Chae Won Bin and follows Matthew Lee, the CEO of a natural cosmetics ingredient company running the world’s only farm that produces miracle ingredients, and Dam Ye Jin, an ace home shopping host whose intense dedication to work has left her battling chronic, severe insomnia. whats-on-netflix

It’s the kind of setup that practically writes itself — a workaholic meets another workaholic, sparks fly, and chaos follows. The drama’s finale is set for May 28, 2026, with new episodes dropping every Saturday and Sunday. whats-on-netflix A breezy, feel-good watch with 12 episodes total, perfect for weekend streaming sessions.

3. We Are All Trying Here — A Raw, Emotional Slow Burn

This one is for viewers who like their dramas layered and deeply human. We Are All Trying Here stars Koo Kyo Hwan and Go Youn Jung and follows Hwang Dong Man, once part of a famous group of aspiring filmmakers known as “The Eight,” who 20 years later still hasn’t made his debut while his peers became famous directors — until he meets overwhelmed producer Byeon Eun Ah, whose brutal script critiques unexpectedly help him while she navigates her own emotional overload. whats-on-netflix

Despite its highly coveted weekend time slot, the drama is off to a slow start — but with ten episodes still to go and a finale on May 24, 2026, there’s plenty of room for it to turn things around. whats-on-netflix Genre-wise, it blends life, psychological drama, and raw emotional storytelling — a combination that tends to age beautifully.
