“I Felt the Ground Shift” — KJo’s Epic Fan Moment
On April 7, Karan Johar took to Instagram to share photos from what he described as a meeting that made his “knees rattle.” In a candid and deeply personal post, he called Meryl Streep his single biggest source of inspiration in the craft of acting — someone he considers a guru from afar. He revealed he has watched the original The Devil Wears Prada a staggering 47 times, quoting the film at dinner tables, in edit suites, and even during board meetings.
Then came the punchline: meeting Miranda Priestly herself in person left him so overwhelmed, he admitted he tried hard to stay calm but simply couldn’t. The ground literally shifted for him.
He described both Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway as “very warm and welcoming,” adding that the photos from the meeting are going straight into his will. He also teased an upcoming interview or chat with the duo ahead of the May 1 release — something fans are already counting down to.
What’s The Devil Wears Prada 2 About?
The long-awaited sequel reunites the beloved cast of the 2006 fashion-world classic. Meryl Streep reprises her iconic role as the formidable Miranda Priestly, while Anne Hathaway returns as Andy Sachs. Emily Blunt is back as the sharp-tongued Emily Charlton, and Stanley Tucci returns as the lovable Nigel. The sequel hits global theatres on May 1, 2026, and anticipation is through the roof.
