Google Search Live Now Supports 10+ Indian Languages

Google has officially expanded Search Live in AI Mode to a wide range of Indian languages, powered by the latest Gemini 3.1 Flash Live model. The update transforms Google Search into a more natural, conversational, and multilingual intelligence companion that understands both your voice and your camera input.

Which Indian Languages Are Now Supported?

With this expansion, Search Live now supports a total of 12+ languages for Indian users, making it one of the most inclusive AI search rollouts in the country’s history.

What Search Live Actually Lets You Do

This isn’t just a voice search upgrade. Search Live in AI Mode — powered by Gemini 3.1 Flash Live — enables fully conversational, back-and-forth interactions with Google Search using your voice and camera simultaneously. Think of it as having a real-time AI assistant that sees what you see and responds in the language you’re most comfortable in.

The camera integration is particularly powerful for Indian users — you can point your camera at text, objects, or situations and ask follow-up questions in your preferred regional language, making the technology genuinely accessible for first-time internet users and regional language speakers who have historically been underserved by English-first AI tools.

Why This Is a Big Deal for India

India has over 20 officially recognised languages and hundreds of dialects. While Hindi and English have dominated digital platforms, the vast majority of India’s population is far more comfortable in regional languages. By expanding Search Live to Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, and more, Google is directly addressing that gap — and doing so with a model powerful enough to handle the nuance and complexity of conversational regional language queries.
