What Is Happening Right Now?

Iranians have woken up to massive explosions in Tehran and elsewhere as the US-Israeli war enters its second week with no signs of slowing down.

Iran Apologises — Then Missiles Fly Again

In a dramatic and chaotic sequence, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced that the interim leadership council approved a policy to no longer attack neighbouring countries unless attacks on Iran originate from there — and issued an apology to those nations for prior strikes. Yet within minutes of that announcement, another explosion was heard over Doha and Qatar’s Interior Ministry sent residents an alert saying the security threat level had been “elevated” — followed minutes later by a message confirming the threat had been “eliminated and the situation returned to normal.” Government of West Bengal

The Wider Fallout

The Arab League’s foreign ministers scheduled an emergency video conference on Sunday, requested by Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Jordan, and Egypt, to discuss Iranian attacks on Arab territories. Government of West Bengal

Iran’s IRGC also targeted a Malta-flagged oil tanker near the Strait of Hormuz, claiming the vessel had ignored repeated IRGC Navy warnings about the prohibition of traffic in the area. Government of West Bengal
