In an industry where celebrity entourages can fill an entire floor, Ranbir Kapoor apparently shows up to work quite differently. A fresh account from his Animal co-star Srinath Maganti is making waves — and honestly, it’s the kind of story that makes you appreciate a superstar a whole lot more.

What Srinath Maganti Actually Said
In a candid interview on Chari Not Sorry, Srinath Maganti — who played Karthik Iyengar (Rashmika Mandanna’s brother) in Animal — opened up about his experience working alongside one of Bollywood’s biggest names. His verdict? Eye-opening.
He revealed that Ranbir doesn’t arrive on set surrounded by a crowd of assistants and handlers like many A-listers do. Instead, he walks in carrying something far more unexpected — a huge plate stacked with healthy chips, biscuits, chocolates, and snacks. Not for himself. For everyone around him.
Here’s a quick breakdown of what Maganti shared:
| Revelation | Detail |
|---|---|
| Entourage | Ranbir Kapoor arrives without one — a rarity among top Bollywood stars |
| Snack tradition | He brings a large platter of snacks to share with the entire crew on set |
| Reaction to gatekeeping | When someone tried to stop Maganti from taking a snack, Ranbir stepped in and insisted he eat |
| On dedication | Maganti exclaimed “The dedication he has, whoa!” when describing RK’s work ethic |
| Post-film tribute | Maganti publicly called him “one of the highly secured actors I have ever met” on social media |
The story about the snack plate is oddly wholesome. When Maganti first reached for one, a crew member stopped him — apparently thinking it was off-limits. Ranbir overheard, immediately stepped in, and waved it off. The plate was for everyone. Full stop.
Why This Story Resonates
Bollywood’s entourage culture has long been a topic of conversation — a symbol of status that can sometimes create distance between stars and the people they work with every day. Ranbir’s approach flips that script entirely. Coming from a family legacy that includes Raj Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor, he carries that heritage lightly on set, letting his craft — and apparently his snack game — do the talking.
It’s also a reminder that what happens off-camera defines a star’s reputation just as much as what’s on screen. For the junior crew, the spot players, the supporting cast — these small gestures are remembered long after the film wraps.
