Undercover Miss Hong is heading into its second-to-last episode, and things have taken a dramatically dangerous turn. Just when Hong Geum Bo and her team seemed to have the upper hand in their battle against Hanmin Securities, an uninvited guest shows up at the most intimate, unexpected location — a family chicken restaurant — and the tension is absolutely suffocating.

Undercover Miss Hong: Story So Far

Set in the late 1990s, tvN’s Undercover Miss Hong stars Park Shin Hye as Hong Geum Bo — an elite financial supervisory officer in her 30s who goes undercover as a 20-year-old entry-level employee at a securities firm riddled with suspicious financial transactions.

In the previous episode, Hong Geum Bo and her crew officially dubbed themselves “The Yeouido Pirates,” set up a corporation, and declared full-scale war on Hanmin Securities Chairman Kang Pil Beom. They secured stocks, tracked down hidden slush funds, and seemed to be closing in on the finish line.

Then came the chicken restaurant scene — and everything froze.

What Happens in the Upcoming Episode

Bong Dal Soo (Kim Roe Ha), the menacing right-hand man of Hanmin’s chief secretary, shows up with a hostile expression that says everything before he even opens his mouth. To make matters worse, Go Bok Cheol — the biological older brother of team member Go Bok Hee, played by Kim Min Hyuk — arrives alongside him, turning the atmosphere from warm and family-like to ice cold in seconds.

Kang No Ra clutches a young child while visibly trembling. Go Bok Hee and Kim Mi Sook fall into a panic. And then — in a moment of genuine heart — Hong Geum Bo’s own parents, Kim Soon Jung (Lee Soo Mi) and Hong Chun Seop (Kim Young Woong), step in front of Bong Dal Soo to shield their daughter, drawing immediate attention and raising the stakes even higher.

Will the Yeouido Pirates survive this confrontation and see their mission through to the end?
