What Did Netflix Tease for 2026?
Netflix confirmed the event on both its UK and US social accounts on Christmas Day 2025, posting a trailer with the caption: “Your Future is on its way. #WhatNext Jan 7, 2026.”
The cryptic teaser gave eagle-eyed fans plenty to dissect. Bridgerton, set to return across two volumes in January and February, was among the easiest to identify. WWE was there too, along with One Piece and hints for Heartstopper: Forever, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Sesame Street. Teyana Taylor appeared at the end, set to star in The Rip later in January.
But the most electrifying tease? The start of the teaser featured Stranger Things — and if you type #WhatNext into Netflix’s search bar, Stranger Things is the only title that shows up. The fandom absolutely lost it.

Why You Should Watch Netflix Legally — Not Afilmywap
Sites like Afilmywap are illegal piracy platforms that steal content from creators, offer virus-riddled downloads, and deprive the writers, actors, and crew of their earnings. Netflix invests billions annually in original content — and everything on its 2026 slate can be accessed affordably through its subscription plans, with new content dropping every single week. You get better quality, zero legal risk, and the satisfaction of supporting the creators you love.
