If you love a good enemies-to-lovers story wrapped in village charm and family drama, KBS2’s upcoming Cabbage Your Life might just be your next K-drama obsession. With fresh new stills dropping and a premiere date locked in, the buzz around this show is already growing — and for all the right reasons.

What Is Cabbage Your Life About?

At its heart, Cabbage Your Life is a warm, coming-of-age romance set against the backdrop of a quiet countryside village called Yeonriri. The story follows the Sung family — a city family suddenly uprooted and forced to start a new life farming cabbage in the village, all while desperately trying to find their way back to Seoul.

Think rural charm meets urban chaos, with a dash of forbidden love thrown in.

Cabbage Your Life Meet the Lead Characters

Character	Actor	Role Description
Sung Ji Cheon	Lee Jin Woo	Eldest son, med school dropout searching for purpose
Im Bo Mi	Choi Gyu Ri	Village nutritionist, warm-hearted “Yeonriri’s health guardian”
Sung Tae Hoon	Park Sung Woong	Ji Cheon’s father, struggling cabbage farmer
Im Joo Hyung	Lee Seo Hwan	Village chief, Bo Mi’s father, rival of Sung Tae Hoon

The Romance That’s Got Everyone Talking

Here’s where things get really interesting. Lee Jin Woo’s character Ji Cheon isn’t your typical K-drama lead. He scored a perfect mark on his college entrance exam, got into medical school — and then quietly walked away from it all. He’s at a crossroads, unsure of who he really is. Moving to Yeonriri becomes his unexpected journey of self-discovery.

Enter Choi Gyu Ri’s Bo Mi — sunshine personified. She’s dependable, warm, deeply loved by her community, and completely unaware at first of the quiet storm brewing in Ji Cheon’s heart. The newly released stills say it all: Ji Cheon can’t stop staring at Bo Mi’s radiant smile, while Bo Mi slowly starts to notice his gaze. That slow-burn, heart-fluttering tension? Already delivering.

But here’s the twist — their fathers are at war. Sung Tae Hoon needs to successfully farm cabbage to return to Seoul, while village chief Im Joo Hyung holds deep hostility toward him and his company “Taste Story.” As the two families clash at every turn, Ji Cheon and Bo Mi are quietly, secretly falling for each other.

Classic Romeo and Juliet energy — but make it K-drama.

Why Cabbage Your Life Deserves a Spot on Your Watchlist

It blends coming-of-age self-discovery with a forbidden romance in a rare, refreshing rural setting. Most K-dramas lean on city backdrops — this one leans into the earthy, grounded beauty of village life, orchard scenes, and genuine human connection. The chemistry between the leads, even just from stills, feels effortless and natural.
