VIROSH Love Story Updates: How Ranbir Kapoor Nearly Spilled Vijay Deverakonda & Rashmika Mandanna’s Secret Romance

Just days before Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna tied the knot on February 26, 2026, the internet rediscovered a priceless throwback moment — when Ranbir Kapoor almost blew the lid on their secret relationship during an Animal promotional appearance. And honestly? It’s the most entertaining tea-spill that never quite happened.

The Moment That Almost Broke the Internet (Before It Did)

During a promotional appearance on Unstoppable with NBK, hosted by veteran actor Nandamuri Balakrishna, Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga were guests together. When the conversation turned to Arjun Reddy, NBK asked Rashmika about her connection to the film. She kept it vague, simply saying it was the first film she watched after relocating to Hyderabad.

Then Ranbir stepped in — and dropped a casual bombshell. He pointed out that Sandeep first met Rashmika at the Arjun Reddy success party, held on Vijay Deverakonda’s terrace. The studio erupted. Rashmika’s quick retort was that not all information needs to be shared — a line that perfectly captured their years of carefully guarded privacy.

The VIROSH Love Story: Key Timeline

From a Terrace Party to a Royal Wedding

What started at a film success party evolved into one of Indian cinema’s most beloved real-life love stories. Vijay and Rashmika — popularly dubbed VIROSH by fans — celebrated their pre-wedding festivities in Udaipur with a haldi, sangeet, and even a fun cricket match. Celebrities like Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Kalyani Priyadarshan, and Rahul Ravindran were among the close-knit guests, with a strict no-phone policy in place.

Their connection to Arjun Reddy, the 2017 Telugu blockbuster that launched a cultural moment, makes the full-circle nature of their love story all the more cinematic.
