In the 24th minute, Leicester City striker Kelechi Ihenacho put the Foxes into the lead after capitalizing on a loose pass from Fred. It was a ‘gift’ from the Manchester United defense to break the deadlock. However, Manchester United tried to reply quickly as they start causing problems on the Leicester City defense after conceding the first goal. In the 38th minute, Mason Greenwood scored the equalizer for Manchester United.

But in the second half, it was all about Leicester City. Manchester United hardly created any chances in the second half. The 52nd-minute goal from Youri Tielemans and Kelechi Iheanacho’s second in the 78th minute sealed the victory for the Foxes.

After the historic win, Leicester City boss Brendon Rodgers said, “I’m obviously delighted. It was a great performance. Every aspect of the game was complete.”

“We showed courage to play against one of Europe’s greatest teams. I told the players they were three games from history. Now it’s two.”

It will be Leicester City’s first semi-final appearance in the FA Cup. They will face Southampton FC in the semi-final. Whereas, if Manchester United failed to win the UEFA Europa League this season, then it is going to be another trophyless season for Manchester United since 2016-17.
