The CEO, Pete Lau, says that the company is excited with the arrival of 9R and has high hopes for the handset. He expects the OnePlus 9R to attract a large chunk of customers. It is also reported that this model will be offered at an affordable price. Pete Lau also said that the main focus of 9R will be on “smooth scrolling, immersive gaming controls, and a superior viewing experience”.

The smartphone is expected to sport a class-leading industrial design which will gain a lot of attraction. Also, the 5G network will offer customers improved speed, better latency for cloud gaming. Earlier, when the news first came out about the potential third device in the series, it was thought that the 9R smartphone will come with watered-down specs. That would have decreased the confidence of the customers. But now it seems it like specs will be near to the OnePlus 9 Pro in performance.
