When we are patiently waiting for AMD’s Zen 3 based other desktop CPUs in the budget, all of a sudden the AMD Ryzen 3 5300G pops up on eBay. The CPUs that are being sold are obviously the engineering samples, having a base clock of 3.5 GHz and an OPN code of 100-000000262-30_Y.
We have seen quite a number of AMD Ryzen 5000G APUs to be leaked previously, suggesting the Red team is ready to launch the new APUs to the market. AMD did skip on making the Ryzen 4000G desktop processors for consumers but this time it will not keep gamers unsatisfied.
Although you can still use an unreleased processor but using an APU is a bit tough as there’s the integrated GPU which requires drivers. The stocks of Cezanne APUs seems to be limited and not all motherboards are able to support it as well. It is although mentioned that a fan did supply a beta driver which is now being offered by the seller as well.
Still, the quad-core APU managed to pull of a good score of 570 points in single-threaded CPU-Z benchmark and 3003 points in multi-core.
Whereas, in the Cinebench R15 and R20 benchmark results, in multi-core, the AMD Ryzen 3 5300G scored 2068 points and 2685 points respectively.
Here’s the video the seller made for the APU:
