Samsung hosted a powerful panel discussion at CES 2026 titled “In Tech We Trust? Rethinking Security & Privacy in the AI Age,” bringing together global experts to address how trust shapes AI adoption. Held at The Wynn in Las Vegas, the Tech Forum session explored making invisible AI systems feel trustworthy through security, transparency, and user control.
Expert Panel on AI Trust
The discussion featured Allie K. Miller (CEO, Open Machine), Amy Webb (CEO, Future Today Strategy Group), Zack Kass (Global AI Advisor, ZKAI Advisory), and Shin Baik (AI Platform Center Group Head, Samsung Electronics), who examined trust as the foundation of AI integration into daily life.
Samsung Knox Security Platform
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Platform | Samsung Knox (10+ years proven) |
| Protection Level | Chipset to ecosystem-wide |
| Cross-Device Security | Knox Matrix framework |
| Authentication | Devices monitor and protect each other |
| Device Coverage | Billions of devices worldwide |
| Partnerships | Google, Microsoft for shared research |
Samsung emphasized that trust requires more than promises—it demands proven security. Knox provides deeply embedded protection at every layer, while Knox Matrix enables devices to continuously authenticate and shield one another, creating what Samsung describes as a resilient digital immune system.
Trust-By-Design Approach
The panel highlighted three core trust components: clarity, security, and accountability. Users need transparency about whether AI runs locally or in the cloud, visible indicators of what’s AI-powered, and clear data security assurances. Samsung’s on-device AI keeps personal data local when possible, using cloud intelligence selectively for speed or scale without compromising privacy.
Miller stressed that users want to lead their personalized experiences rather than operate within black box systems. Providers have a responsibility to design experiences around trust fundamentals while giving users meaningful control.
Predictability Over Mystery
Shin Baik emphasized that trust grows when AI behaves predictably across devices with visible control signals. Rather than opaque systems, Samsung focuses on transparent operations where users understand what’s happening and maintain authority over their AI experiences.
As AI increasingly anticipates needs and operates autonomously, the panel concluded that technologies earning long-term trust will prioritize security, transparency, and meaningful choice from inception.
