OPPO Reno15 Series Launches Jan 8 with 200MP AI Camera

OPPO India launches the Reno15 Series on January 8, 2026, introducing one of the most advanced imaging systems in its segment. Crafted for travelers and photography enthusiasts, the Reno15 Pro 5G and Reno15 Pro Mini 5G blend powerful hardware with OPPO’s PureTone Technology and intuitive AI features, enabling users to capture everything from vibrant Delhi streets to remote Arunachal trails.

200MP Ultra-Clear Camera Built for Travel Photography

The Reno15 Pro models feature a 200MP Ultra-Clear Main Camera designed to handle wide-ranging travel photography scenarios. The high-resolution sensor captures rich detail in every shot, ensuring images retain clarity even when cropped or reframed later, from crowded street scenes and architectural details to unplanned moments on the move.

Working alongside is a 50MP 3.5× Telephoto Portrait Camera positioned near the classic 85mm portrait focal length. This lens delivers portraits with natural perspective, keeping both subject and background well-defined. True 3.5× optical zoom performs equally well for tightly framed portraits and distant subjects, maintaining clarity without distortion.

PureTone Technology Preserves Authentic Indian Skin Tones

Portrait shots on the Reno15 Series lean toward clear and vivid looks. OPPO’s PureTone Technology takes surrounding environments into account rather than isolating subjects too aggressively. Instead of heavy smoothing, it subtly balances light, detail, and texture so portraits look refined while feeling real.

According to OPPO India, Indian skin tones are handled with care. The camera adapts to wide-ranging complexions and lighting conditions, helping portraits stay consistent whether taken outdoors in daylight or under mixed indoor lighting.

AI Editor 3.0 Expands Creative Possibilities

The Reno15 Series introduces AI Editor 3.0, expanding creative tools. AI Portrait Glow analyzes scenes and adjusts lighting accordingly—whether low light, backlight, or uneven lighting—applying suitable styles like Natural Light, Flash Light, Rim Light, or Studio Light with simple inputs.

For playful creativity, Popout allows users to combine multiple photos or motion shots into dynamic compositions where subjects appear to step out of frames, creating scroll-stopping visuals ready for social sharing without third-party editing apps.

4K HDR Video at 60fps Across All Cameras

For more on smartphone photography innovation, the Pro models support 4K HDR video recording at 60fps across front, main, ultra-wide, and telephoto cameras. HDR recording preserves detail in highlights and shadows, delivering footage with natural colors and balanced contrast.

Enhanced Ultra-Steady Video system keeps footage stable while walking or filming on the move. All cameras support EIS 2.0 stabilization, with OIS on main and telephoto cameras reducing shakes when recording handheld.
