Jungkook’s Tattoo Collection

Understanding Jungkook’s First Tattoo

Jungkook’s tattoo journey began with his now-iconic ARMY knuckle tattoo. During a recent Weverse live session, the singer revealed this was his first permanent ink and holds immense significance. The visible placement on his knuckles reflects his pride in representing millions of fans globally.

What makes this tattoo particularly special is its dual meaning. Beyond honoring ARMY, the letters cleverly represent each BTS member:

• A = V (inverted without the middle line)
• R = RM
• M = Min Yoongi (Suga)
• Y = combined with the J ring finger tattoo forms JM for Jimin, plus J for Jin, J-Hope, and Jungkook

Cover-Up Tattoos & Evolution

Like many tattoo enthusiasts, Jungkook has evolved his collection through cover-ups:

Snake Tattoo: Originally three stripes representing the Korean flag, this was redesigned as a striking snake after receiving mixed feedback.

BTS Bulletproof Design: Covered an eye tattoo that fans didn’t connect with, replacing it with meaningful lyrics from “We Are Bulletproof Pt. 2.”

Cloud Pattern: After a painful experience at a U.S. tattoo shop left his skin damaged, Jungkook had clouds tattooed over the area by a different artist.

Behind-the-Ear ‘7’ Tattoo

One of Jungkook’s most recent additions is the number “7” behind his ear, matching tattoos that all BTS members received. This represents their unbreakable bond as seven individuals who form one team.
