HMD Pulse 2 Series: Complete Specifications

Three Distinct Models for Budget Buyers

According to reliable leaker smashx_60, HMD Global prepares three smartphones under the Pulse 2 lineup, each targeting different price points within the budget segment. All three models share the same Unisoc Tiger T7250 processor—a 12nm chip with two Cortex-A75 cores at 1.82GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 1.61GHz.

The base Pulse 2 features a 6.7-inch 720p+ display at 90Hz, 50MP main camera with 2MP secondary sensor, 8MP front camera, and 4GB RAM with 128GB storage. This entry-level model maintains essential features while keeping costs minimal.

Pulse 2+: Display Upgrade

The Pulse 2+ shares the same processor and battery but upgrades the display to 120Hz refresh rate while maintaining 720p+ resolution. The camera hardware receives a boost with a 13MP front-facing sensor compared to the base model’s 8MP shooter.

Interestingly, the Pulse 2+ supports 4.5G networks (LTE-Advanced Pro), positioned between standard 4G LTE and 5G. This technology offers higher peak speeds and lower latency on supported networks without full 5G implementation, helping control costs while improving connectivity.

RAM options expand to 4GB and 6GB variants, both paired with 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. The display uses Dragon Tail glass protection, and the device maintains IP54 rating for basic dust and splash resistance.

Pulse 2 Pro: Premium Features

The Pulse 2 Pro represents the lineup’s flagship, featuring significant design and hardware upgrades. The redesigned rear camera module resembles the iPhone 17 Pro’s wider layout—a striking departure from previous HMD designs. Color options include green, purple, and black finishes.

Camera specifications lead the segment with a 50MP front sensor, 50MP main rear camera, and new 8MP ultrawide lens. The 6.72-inch IPS display offers 1080p+ resolution at 90Hz, providing sharper visuals than the lower-tier models despite the slower refresh rate.

RAM configurations include 6GB and 8GB options, paired with 128GB or 256GB storage—the only model offering 256GB capacity. This variant targets users prioritizing camera quality and display sharpness over refresh rate smoothness.

Unified Battery and Software

All three models share identical 5,000mAh batteries with 20W fast charging support via USB-C. This consistency ensures reliable all-day battery life across the lineup regardless of which model buyers choose.

Android 15 ships out of the box on all devices, providing the latest software features and security updates from day one. HMD includes a customizable hardware button allowing users to assign quick actions for specific apps or functions—a feature the company has been experimenting with across recent releases.

Pricing and Availability

HMD hasn’t announced official launch dates or confirmed pricing. However, previous leaks suggest pricing around $179 (approximately ₹15,000) for base configurations, with the Pulse 2 Pro potentially commanding slight premiums for enhanced specifications.

The Geekbench listing confirms mass production readiness, suggesting imminent launch timing. Some reports indicate potential January 2026 availability, positioning these devices as early-year budget offerings competing against established players like Xiaomi, Realme, and Samsung’s Galaxy A series.
