Dead Island 2 might be a title for the Next-Gen Consoles and PC, supports DirectX Ray Tracing

For a long time, Dead Island 2 has been in development, but it is said that the final game is not going to be stuck in the past. According to the recent job ads, it seems that the current developer of Dead Island 2 is finding people to work on an “established AAA title” on “next-gen consoles and PC platforms.” These specific job ads don’t contain any title’s name, but Dambuster isn’t very known for working on any other “established AAA title”.

Dambuster also looking for some programmers with DirectX 12 and ray tracing experience. One year ago, the company’s job ads were still saying Dead Island 2 was coming to “current and future platforms,” but those plans might have changed since then.

Since 2012, Dead Island 2 has been under development, and now it is on its fourth studio – over the course of nearly a decade, the title has traveled so much from Techland to Yager Developments, to Sumo Digital, and now finally to Dambuster. Publisher Deep Silver has promised some features like vast exploration in California, choosing your character who is immune to the zombies, fight against the zombie waves, crafting your weapons from motorized grinders to electric machetes.

This could be a good one Dambuster by shifting the development to the next-gen platforms to start fresh with Dead Island 2 and perhaps avoid many challenges and pitfalls connected with developing the open-world titles on dated PS4 and Xbox One hardware. Right now, there is no release date is in our hands for the Dead Island 2.
