Manchester City suffered a dip in their form last season as they were no where close to challenging Liverpool for the Premier League title. Everyone hoped that they will bounce back this season but they couldn’t manage to find their form at the start of this season as well.

However, as you know, Pep Guardiola is one of the best coaches right now. If anyone can turn around a team’s fortune, then it’s him. So as you imagined, he did some tweaks here and there and after that the results were outstanding. Manchester City were back to their very best form.

Manchester City recently travelled away from home to face Borussia Monchengladbach for their Champions League round of 16 1st leg. City comfortably beat the German side by 2-0. This was their 12th consecutive away win, which is the most by an English club.

This record moved them ahead of the previous record, which was also set by Manchester City between May and November 2017.

Manchester City has now managed 19 consecutive victories in all competitions and is unbeaten in 26 games. Their last defeat came against Tottenham Hotspur in late November.

Manchester City’s record in the last 26 games reads: Won 23. Drawn 3. Lost 0. In that period, they have scored 61 and conceded just seven.

Pep Guardiola has once again done an excellent job in turning the fortunes of his club and City looks in prime position to win this season’s Premier League title.
