The director has an impressive portfolio that includes hit films like Go Goa Gone, Shor in the City, and 99. However, he’s best known for creating and directing popular Amazon Prime Video series The Family Man, Farzi, and Citadel: Honey Bunny. His estimated net worth stands at approximately $10 million, reflecting his successful career spanning films and web series.

The Love Story Behind the Headlines

The couple first worked together on The Family Man and later on the Indian chapter of Citadel, where their friendship gradually evolved into a relationship. Throughout 2024, Samantha shared several warm photographs with Raj on social media, sparking widespread speculation about their relationship status.

Despite the mounting buzz, neither Samantha nor Raj publicly confirmed their romance until now. The two have been seen together at various events following their collaboration on series like The Family Man and Citadel: Honey Bunny.

The Ex-Wife’s Cryptic Message

Adding intrigue to the wedding news, Raj’s ex-wife Shhyamali De shared a cryptic Instagram story stating “Desperate people do desperate things”. Shhyamali, who has worked as an assistant director with filmmakers like Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Vishal Bhardwaj, divorced Raj in 2022.

Many interpreted her post as a reaction to the wedding rumors, though she hasn’t directly addressed the situation. This isn’t the first time De has shared indirect messages on social media regarding her former relationship.

A Fresh Start for Both

This marks the second marriage for both individuals. Samantha was previously married to actor Naga Chaitanya from 2017 until their divorce in 2021. Chaitanya has since remarried actor Sobhita Dhulipala. The 12-year age gap between the newlyweds has also become a topic of discussion among fans and the media.

The choice of venue holds special significance for Samantha, who has frequently visited the Isha Yoga Centre for spiritual retreats. The dawn ceremony at the sacred Ling Bhairavi Temple reflects the couple’s preference for privacy and spiritual connection.
