What’s Next for Season 2?
Netflix has yet to officially renew Cabinet of Curiosities for a second season as of late 2025. However, Guillermo del Toro himself has expressed optimism about continuing the series, although he also acknowledges the complex, costly, and time-intensive nature of producing an anthology season due to the involvement of multiple directors and high production values.
Del Toro’s schedule includes other high-profile projects, such as his Netflix original film Frankenstein (released Nov 2025), which may affect the timeline for a new season. Still, with its fanbase and critical success, the possibility for Season 2 remains alive, pending further decisions by Netflix and production logistics.
