The Shocking Discovery

Frank has reason to believe Sidney orchestrated the plane crash after discovering she knew Thiago’s identity all along. The evidence is damning: the malware used to crash the plane was in Thiago’s possession—the same malware Sidney originally created.

The pieces fell into place when Frank examined old photographs. Sidney was the girl in the parade photo where Vincent Thiago appeared, standing with her father. Since Thiago was Sidney’s father’s protege, Frank concluded Sidney must be working for the same cause.

Was It Really Sidney’s Plan?

Here’s where things get complicated. The CIA wanted to kill Havlock and was using Sidney as the scapegoat, which suggests she’s not the mastermind but rather a victim herself. This explains her emotional breakdown in episode 7.

The most puzzling question remains: if Sidney wanted Havlock dead, why did she save him from the car crash earlier in the season? This contradiction suggests there’s more to her story than meets the eye.

Frank’s Secret Finally Exposed

While Sidney’s betrayal takes center stage, Frank’s secret from Chicago is revealed to be a gun from an old case—evidence he hid to ensure a slippery criminal went to prison. This revelation devastates his family, with Sarah and Luke leaving Fairbanks to stay with an aunt.

The parallel between Frank’s deception and Sidney’s lies creates a powerful thematic resonance that defines this episode’s emotional core.

What’s Next?

Havlock has been captured and left Fairbanks with the FBI and Sidney, but Frank’s discovery may be too late. With only three episodes remaining, expect the conspiracy to deepen as the CIA’s involvement becomes clearer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Did Sidney intentionally crash the plane to kill the prisoners?

No, the evidence suggests the CIA orchestrated the crash to eliminate Havlock specifically. Sidney created the malware for a different mission, and she’s now being framed as the scapegoat for the operation that went wrong.

Q: Can Frank trust Sidney after this revelation?

That’s the million-dollar question heading into the final episodes. While Sidney did lie about knowing Thiago, her emotional reactions and decision to save Havlock suggest her motivations are more complex than simple villainy. The show’s creators are keeping viewers guessing about her true allegiance.
