Lee Sun Bin Is Stranded in the Mountains During a Storm in “To The Moon”

Just when everything seemed perfect for Lee Sun Bin’s character in “To The Moon,” the MBC drama proves that cryptocurrency gains and romantic confessions can’t protect you from nature’s fury. The latest preview shows Jung Da Hae in a terrifying predicament—stranded alone in the mountains during a violent storm.

What Is “To The Moon” About?

Based on the novel of the same name, “To The Moon” follows three women from humble backgrounds who refuse to let their financial circumstances define them. Jung Da Hae (Lee Sun Bin), Kang Eun Sang (Ra Mi Ran), and Kim Ji Song (Jo Aram) discover cryptocurrency investing as a potential escape from the paycheck-to-paycheck grind.

The drama brilliantly captures the emotional rollercoaster of crypto trading while exploring deeper themes of friendship, ambition, and the risks people take when chasing financial freedom.

From High to Low: Da Hae’s Dramatic Turn

The Perfect Moment Before Disaster

The previous episode ended on an incredible high for Da Hae. Ham Ji Woo (Kim Young Dae) finally confessed his feelings—a moment fans have been anticipating—and her cryptocurrency investment skyrocketed. Everything seemed to align perfectly, making her heart race with excitement and hope.

Naturally, the trio decides to celebrate their “coin train” success with a mountain trip. What could go wrong, right? Well, as any K-drama fan knows, happiness in episode five means crisis by episode six.

Stranded and Alone

The celebration takes a dark turn when Da Hae becomes separated from her friends and finds herself alone in the mountains as a storm rolls in. Preview images show her in alarming condition: soaked to the bone from pouring rain, covered in wounds and dirt, trembling from cold and possibly fear.

The visual contrast is striking—from the joy of financial gains and romantic confession to fighting for survival in harsh conditions. It’s a powerful metaphor for how quickly fortunes can change, both in cryptocurrency markets and in life.

What Happened to the Others?

While Da Hae faces this crisis alone, her friends Eun Sang and Ji Song are reportedly panicked, searching for their missing companion. The production team teased that this scene will lead to significant plot twists, suggesting this isn’t just a simple rescue mission.

The mystery deepens: How did Da Hae end up separated? Was it an accident, or is something more sinister at play? Given the drama’s focus on financial risks and crypto investing, could this be connected to their newfound wealth?

The Cryptocurrency Metaphor

“To The Moon” cleverly uses cryptocurrency as more than just a plot device. The volatile nature of crypto—skyrocketing one moment, crashing the next—mirrors Da Hae’s situation perfectly. Just as investors celebrate gains without considering potential losses, Da Hae’s mountain trip joy transforms into survival horror.

This narrative choice reinforces the drama’s central message: quick gains come with unexpected risks. Whether you’re investing digital currency or climbing mountains, preparation and caution matter.

What’s Next for Da Hae?

The production team’s hint about “unexpected plot twists” suggests this mountain crisis is just the beginning of larger complications for our crypto-investing trio.
